About Oxford Family Hypnotherapy

Julia Watson is the founding Clinical Hypnotherapist at Oxford Family Hypnotherapy, working with adults and children for over 20 years.
Julia started her career as a teacher specialising in challenging behaviour and went on to train and write material for Jigsaw PSHE (the mindful approach to PSHE). She has had a varied career, which has included work for the Youth Offending team, Oxfordshire County Council Behaviour Support Team and working for Slough Borough Council in their audit of children's mental health services. Alongside her work as a hypnotherapist, she supports the national Wellbeing Award for Schools as an adviser.
She recently received a Scholarship from Harris Manchester College, Oxford University, to further her studies on storytelling and mental health.
Julia trained as a Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist because she saw a quicker, more effective way of supporting children and parents. She delights in knowing that children can recover quickly and return to playing, learning and growing, and parents who tell her that they left their chores and went to bed early. She loves her job.
